A Small Moment #6

Ever since the strange encounters of the past few days, Fuka‘s nights had become increasingly restless.

Sleep no longer brought peaceful dreams. Instead, she found herself wandering through strange places where mysterious figures from ancient legends silently watched her from the shadows. Every time she woke up, the images felt vivid, as if they were trying to tell her something she could not yet understand.

Unable to keep everything to herself, Fuka decided to share her worries with Kyoka and Sayuri. She told them about the recurring dreams, the mysterious woman dressed in black, and the growing feeling that these events were somehow connected. Here is the scene → [view post]

Both friends listened patiently. Kyoka encouraged her to trust her instincts without letting fear take over, while Sayuri searched for more practical explanations. Their different perspectives helped Fuka feel calmer, even if none of them could explain why the dreams felt so incredibly real. Here is the scene → [view post]

For the first time, Fuka realized that whatever was happening, she would not have to face it alone.

The Mysterious Woman

Fuka‘s day began on a cheerful note. She woke up in a good mood as the morning sunlight gently filled her apartment in Tokyo. After enjoying a quiet breakfast, she settled onto the sofa with a book, looking forward to a few peaceful moments of relaxation. Here is the scene → [view post]

While she was absorbed in her reading, something suddenly caught her attention. The shadow of a fox appeared on the wall. Its silhouette was so clear that it almost looked real. Fuka carefully looked around the room, trying to find what could have cast such a strange shadow, but nothing seemed capable of creating it. A few moments later, the shadow vanished without a trace.

The following day, back at work among old documents and archived photographs, Fuka tried to focus on her tasks. Yet her thoughts kept returning to that mysterious shadow. The more she searched for a logical explanation, the stronger the feeling grew that it had not been a simple trick of the light. Here is the scene → [view post]

考えごとをしながら歩いていたら、
いつの間にか少し遠くまで来ていました
なんだか落ち着かなくて、
理由は分からないけど…
ふと、誰かに見られているような気がして
少しだけ振り返ってしまいました 🌫️

That evening, as she walked home, she noticed a woman standing motionless on a street corner. She was dressed entirely in black, and a face mask concealed most of her features. The stranger seemed to be quietly watching the people passing by without moving an inch. Fuka slowed her pace for a moment, but when she looked in the woman’s direction again, she had disappeared.

The next morning, during her subway ride, Fuka felt a sudden chill. Sitting a few seats behind her was the very same woman. She wore the same black clothes and the same face mask. Fuka tried not to glance back too often, telling herself it had to be nothing more than a coincidence. Even so, the woman’s presence filled her with an unsettling feeling she could not ignore. Later that day, while walking through the city, Fuka met Sayuri. After greeting each other, she told her everything: the fox’s shadow, the woman dressed in black, and the strange encounter on the subway. Sayuri listened carefully, trying to reassure her by offering logical explanations, though none of them truly convinced Fuka. Here is the scene → [view post]

What neither of them realized was that, not far away, someone was quietly watching them. The woman dressed in black remained hidden among the crowd, carefully observing every move they made without drawing attention to herself.

After saying goodbye to Sayuri, Fuka stepped into a small café and ordered a cup of coffee. Sitting by the window, she absentmindedly stared into her cup while reflecting on everything that had happened over the past two days. A mysterious shadow. A stranger who kept appearing. And an unsettling feeling that someone was watching her. Here is the scene → [view post]

Perhaps they were only coincidences.

Or perhaps someone had already begun writing the first chapter of a mystery that was about to change her life.
